GUIDELINES FOR BLOG WRITING
Thanks for your interest in helping out with the Blog Writer! Our goal is to publish meaningful articles, guides, and resources that will really make an impact on readers – and we need your help and expertise!
Why Write for Us?
By helping us out with our blog, you’ll be sharing your expertise with potential students and researchers browsing the website! Posts are also shared on our social media channels, and select articles will be used in our marketing campaign.
Contents:
1.1 Submission Checklist:
a) Authors are expected to contribute their writings to at least three blogs per semester (only for Accounting Faculty members, UiTM Perlis).
b) Ensure the submission is structured as requested by the blog, and contains all relevant paragraphs. See '1.2 Blog Writing Guidelines' for further details.
c) Aim for a length of approximately 500 – 800 words per entry.
d) Articles must be your original work and not published elsewhere on the web.
e) Authors can submit their manuscripts in either English or Bahasa Melayu.
f) All submissions to Faculty Blog Writer should be made electronically, in MS Word (no PDF’s), e-mailed as an attachment to synergyresearchfac@gmail.com
Your e-mail should be clearly marked with the words ‘Blog entry’ in the title.
g) Article/ manuscript must be grammatically correct and well-written.
h) Writing format: Times New Roman, font size 16 px and line spacing 1.5.
i) Article/ manuscript should be submitted with good English or Bahasa Melayu and clear phrasing for the benefit of editors and reviewers.
j) Date of publication is upon the approval from the Editorial board.
k) Accompanying image is optional. If you wish to provide an image to go with your article, it should be attributed (provide image source URL), at least 200×200 pixels, JPG or PNG format. (Note that images are not to be inserted into the text, but are to be sent as a separate attachment.)
1.2 Blog writing guidelines:
a) Headline: Title page
· All submissions must have a title page stating all of the relevant information.
· Title (maximum 85 characters).
· A short title (maximum 46 characters, including spaces).
b) Opening
The point of your opening is to attract people to read your 3 – 4 opening sentences. They are more likely to read your entire article if the opening sentences attract their attention.
c) Suitable Image
Let’s start by using images to help readers better understand your content. Make sure the image fits the topic of your article in order to enhance it and grab your readers’ attention.
d) Main Point 1 & Content 1
· Main point: Topic sentence.
· Content: The elaboration of your topic sentence.
e) Main Content 2
· Main point: Topic sentence.
· Content: The elaboration of your topic sentence.
f) Main Content 3
· Main point: Topic sentence.
· Content: The elaboration of your topic sentence.
g) Conclusion
· Summarize review key points.
· Concluding thought.
1.3 Editorial Process:
a) Author completes the registration process. Kindly click at the given link to complete the registration.

b) Article/ manuscript is submitted to and assessed by the Editor. Kindly submit the article/ manuscript to:
c) The article/ manuscript will be sent to reviewers for internal peer review process.
d)
Decision on a peer-reviewed paper is within 10 days after the submission
date.
e) The article/ manuscript will be returned to the author with feedback from reviewers. If your article is selected for publication, then it is your responsibility to review those comments and make revisions. The revised article/ manuscript must be re-submitted to the Editor within a week after it is returned to the author.
f) If the article/ manuscript does not need to be revised, the author will be notified by the Editor that the article/ manuscript is considered as successful to be published on the blog.
g) The author will be notified by the Editor once the article/ manuscript is successfully published on the blog.
h) The author will receive an Article Acceptance Letter from the SRG, as a confirmation that the article has been approved and accepted for publication on the blog.
